Lembaga Tabung Haji’s online platform (THiJARI), built by Cyber Village, gains over one million users in under 2 years.

The THiJARI Hajj management online platform has attracted more than one million users since its launch in February 2020, demonstrating Lembaga Tabung Haji’s commitment to make it easier for more than eight million of its depositors to transact online securely.

Built by Cyber Village, which specialises in digital engagement solutions for financial Institutions, the THiJARI app now records an average of 1.5 million transactions a month, managing deposit values of more than RM200 million online. Meanwhile, the number of transactions through THiJARI has tripled in the past year.

The platform is attractive to Muslims who are otherwise hesitant to use conventional banking for their Hajj savings, due to concerns of riba (usury). All the services offered in THiJARI are made available free of charge.

Depositors can use the app to perform online transactions such as making balance inquiries, printing statements, managing savings via transfer, checking hajj status, and making hajj registration and appeals wherever they are, including when abroad.
