To improve efficiency of sales process in order to boost productivity, achieve sales target and meet client and partners’ expectations.

The Challenge

Traditionally, sales intermediaries such as agents and brokers are required to complete physical forms and submit hardcopies at Asia Insurance’s office / branches. Incomplete or inaccurate information led to staff spending additional time dealing with paperwork and email communication with agents and brokers – staff productivity was low and turnaround time was too long. Sales targets were not met due to these inefficiencies.

Additionally, the increasing number of paperwork and hardcopies had started creating issues with filing and logistics.

The Solution

Fermion Merimen developed an online B2B and B2C ePolicy platform for Asia Insurance to facilitate new policy sales and issuance digitally and expediently.

 

Strategies Implemented

Fermion Merimen’s ePolicy platform enabled insurance solutions offering for Marine, Home, Helper, Fire Mortgage, Travel and Motor insurance.

  • The B2B ePolicy platform enabled underwriters and large-scale agents to offer quotations and issue policies within a much shorter turnaround time.
  • The B2C ePolicy interface was customized for Asia Insurance’s large-scale agents (including ones with banking background), allowing them to fill online application form on a mobile device such as a tablet, provide quotation, confirm acceptance, make online payments and issue policies on the spot with direct clients.

 

Outcome(s)

  • Improved agents and direct clients’ perception of service provided by Asia Insurance
  • Improved turnaround time – now it only takes a few minutes to issue policies
  • Online payments can be made using credit cards instead of having to make payments via cheque/cash in person
  • Increased staff and sales productivity – thus achieving company KPIs
  • Increased transparency – work progress can be tracked and management is able to monitor accordingly
  • Eliminates issue with filing and logistics of handling hardcopy documents
